Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 21, 2026

This policy describes how the Miss Markdown website at missmarkdown.com handles information. It covers this website only. Miss Markdown’s consumer product is still in development, and this policy will be replaced with a fuller one before any consumer service launches.

The short version

This is a brochure website. It does not have accounts, it does not have a signup form, and it does not run analytics or advertising trackers. If you email us, we have your email. That is essentially the whole of it.

What this website collects

No cookies are set by this website. There is no analytics tag, no advertising pixel, no session cookie, and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

No forms. Contact is by email link only. There is no form on this site that submits data to us.

No embedded third-party content. There are no embedded videos, maps, fonts loaded from third-party hosts, or social widgets. Typography uses fonts already present on your device.

Server logs

This website is served by a third-party hosting provider. Like effectively all web hosts, that provider records standard technical request information (such as IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, and a timestamp) for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. We do not combine those logs with any other information, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.

If you email us

When you email the address on our contact page, we receive your email address, your message, and anything you choose to include. We use it to reply to you, and if you ask to be told when Miss Markdown launches, to send you that one notification.

We do not sell your email address, and we do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for. You can ask us to delete your message and address at any time by replying and saying so.

What this website does NOT do

To be explicit, because Miss Markdown is a shopping product and the question is reasonable:

  • This website does not collect purchase history.
  • This website does not connect to any retailer account.
  • This website does not read receipts, baskets, or payment information.
  • This website does not track you across other websites.
  • This website does not profile you for advertising.

When the product launches

Miss Markdown’s consumer product is intended to work with purchase and pricing information. That is a materially different privacy question from a marketing website, and it deserves its own policy written specifically for it. We will publish that policy before any consumer service collects anything, and it will explain plainly what is collected, why, and what control you have over it.

Children

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website changes, for example if we later add analytics or an email signup. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
